Diagram in preparation
The step-by-step drawing of “Uni knot” is being checked; follow the steps below.
Step by step
- Pass about fifteen centimetres of line through the eye and fold it back along the main line
- Form a loop with the tag end, beside the two strands
- Pass the tag end through the loop and around both strands: five turns (seven to eight with braid)
- Moisten, pull the tag end to form the knot
- Pull the main line to slide the knot down against the eye, trim short
The test before fishing
The knot must slide down to the eye and lock there. With braid, make seven to eight turns instead of five.
